Today I got to meet Chantilly! She stayed here for about an hour today. WOW! Was she a lot of fun. She was very lovable too. My foster mom cuddled her while she was here. I wasn't sure what to make of that, but then I found out their was room for me too. I loved it. Chantilly let me rest my head on her.
She was afraid when she came into the backyard, but I did get her to play with me. I heard she may have a possible adopter, but check out her page.

Two weeks ago my foster mom met Jack too, he is up for adoption. He run up to her and let her pet him, he wagged his tail the entire time.

When my foster mom came home today she smelled like another dog! How dare she! I found out she helped Queenie move today. She is very afraid, but very sweet. She loves kids. Check her out too: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10494876
Check back soon! Remember if you adopt one of the dogs above or any other in the rescue it opens a spot for another to get saved!
Or if you would like to foster fill out the foster application. I'm told the rescue has a bunch of new foster homes the past few months and it has helped save more dogs! http://www.illinoisbirddogrescue.org/foster_app.html

My Story
This is my story...
A friend of my foster mom went to meet my sister. When he got there he saw my sister and I were in a tiny crate in our own urine and feces. He decided to take me with him too.
So he called my foster mom last night and asked if she could help.
My foster mom, who was taking a fostering break, said I could come stay with her until I find a home of my own.
So far she knows I am about 5 months old and to skinny; only 18 lbs. My paws are not very big, I might be close to 25-30lbs. Usually GSP's are much bigger, while in the crate I was not getting very much food, my sister was eating it and I have a little worm problem, but I'm on medicine and will be as good as new in no time!
I am very sweet and love people. I like other dogs too, I just roll over on my back when they want to play. I'm not so sure about the Weim here! He is big, I just tucked my tail and hid by my foster mom.
I will need a safe fenced in yard. I have not been cat tested, but can be. I'm so friendly if anything I would probably try to play with them. I am great with kids 11 and over, but I'm sure I would be great with kids of all ages. My foster mom can test that too.Check back soon for more updates and pictures. Also check out the other IBR dogs too. When you adopt one it makes room for another to come in. The rescue is getting bombarded daily with dogs that need help. IBR is not anti-hunting many IBR dogs do hunt, but many that come in have been dumped by hunters as they have been deemed "bad hunting dogs" *
Shy kisses,
Tori
*Hunters need not apply at this time.
